What to expect at your first appointment:

The initial appointment generally lasts about 90 minutes. We do an extensive intake of your medical history and current concerns, and will ask a wide range of questions. This is followed by a full acupuncture treatment. It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing, have eaten something within a couple of hours of treatment, and not plan anything vigorous after. It is also best not to have too much caffeine and no alcohol before your treatment. Our practitioners will do everything to make this experience as comfortable as possible. At the end of this session, together we will come up with the continued plan, including frequency of treatments, recommendations for herbs, supplements, nutrition and lifestyle support.

What to expect at your follow-up appointments:

These generally last 45-60 minutes and the same recommendations apply. Each session, we will address ongoing concerns as well as anything new that transpired with a customized treatment plan.  Often, a consistent and condensed series of treatments is recommended to start, as there can be layers to address to get to the root cause.
